Most of my hunting was for meat, but was asked by farmers at that age to shoot groundhogs. That was my start. Fifty years later I still love going hunting and being outdoors. For the last 8 years I have been an Exceptive for Dufferin Northern Peel Ontario Federation of Angles and Hunters. I have been in charge of the Archery Range and set up shoots as fundraisers, and also a member of Safari Club International. We all must try to do as much as we can to keep our hunting rights. For the last few years, I have been giving hunting and archery course. Although must of my live I have been hunting with guns, the last 9 years I have been using recurve, compound and crossbows. Crossbow, only when the temperature gets to be –15 or more. Being a bow hunter living in Southern Ontario, just North of Toronto. It will give me three months, for Deer season and a 7 deer limit. I turkey hunt in Spring and Deer, Moose and Bear in Autumn Also help farmer with coyotes and ground hogs. It helps getting permission to hunt deer. I also have completed Bow hunter Education Course by the National Bow hunter Education Foundation. Turkey Hunting Course and the Ontario Hunting Courses I go to as many archery 3D shoots as I can, and Every Saturday for the last 7 years. I 3D shoot at our Archery course come rain or Shine. |
